Clash Over Haseleunne by Robert Bailey
Bob Shoens piloted "Our Gal Sal", the only B-17 to return to its base at Thorpe Abbotts in England after this March 6, 1944 air battle. The "Bloody 100th", targeted specifically for retribution by the Luftwaffe was nearly decimated.
