Retired in 1997 after a long and successful career the Grumman A-6 Intruder was a legendary U.S. Navy carrier-based twin-engine attack aircraft. It was one of the Navy's stalwarts during the war in Vietnam. Here Stokes shows the Intruder shortly after an early morning launch carrying its deadly ordinance on another sortie.
