Depicting Bf109Es of LG2 engaging No.19 Squadron Spitfires in an epic duel atop the white cliffs, this highly collectable release is signed by three Battle of Britain top Aces.
In discussing his motivation for the painting, artist Nicolas Trudgian describes, "how wonderful to be able to turn the clock back and paint these famous adversaries in the high summer skies over the South Coast in 1940. Britain with its back to the wall and Europe’s ultimate destiny in the hands of young men, their thoroughbred fighters of the RAF rushing headlong into battle with the very best of the Luftwaffe."
