Flying Officer Jim Gray, of the U.S. 4th Air Fore's Eagle Squadron, serving with 71 Squadron, Royal Air Force, shoots down a Focke-Wulf 190 of JG 1. The action took place low over the English Channel as Gray and his wingman were on Search and Rescue duty.
