The Warrior & The Wolfpack by John Shaw

The legendary Günther Rall, considered by many to be the finest pilot of WWII Germany's Luftwaffe's, met the equally feared American pilots of 'Hub' Zemke's Wolfpack over Germany in May, 1944. After taking out two P-47s and nearly downing the famed leader of the 56th FG himself, Rall soon found himself outnumbered and outguned, and would narrowly cheat death on this fateful day. He went on to become the world's 3rd highest scoring ace of all time (275 victories), and form lasting friendships with his
one-time American opponents.
