Attack on the Yalu Bridges by Philip West

Just a few shot years after the defeat of Nazy Germany and the forces of Imperial Japan, many seasoned Allied pilots found themselves in action again, tihs time in the face of Communism. Many of the successful aircraft from WWI were pushed into action again, the oustanding carrier-born F4U Corsair being one of the finest examples.
Philip West's new limited edition print commemorates the part played by the pilots of this superb fighter-bomber with his dramatic portrayal of the attack on the Yalu River bridges on November 8, 1950. F4U Corsairs of VF-113, flying from the USS Philippine Sea, are seen making a concetrated attack on the bridges at Sinuiju, spanning the Yalu River linking North Korea with China.
