High Road To Hanoi
This image represents a montage of events that could occur on a LINEBACKER II B-52 raid over North Vietnam. One such mission did happen on December 26, 1972, when the tail gunner in the B-52 nearest the viewer, was credited with a MiG-21 shootdown. We see the release of IR flares by the B-52s as they defend themselves from SA-2 (SAM) launches and incoming MiGs.
