The B-29 Super Fortress played an important role in America's victory in the Pacific during WWII. It was capable of carrying a huge payload over a great range. The B-29 has gained notoriety as the vehicle to drop the atomic bombs on Japan, but tens of thousands of non-atomic missions were also flown. These aircraft often carried some of the best nose art of the war.
